Our Research, Development & Innovation Team
Thurles Chamber Enterprise Centre (TCEC) is the perfect location for new and expanding businesses in Tipperary. The centre is a collaborative development between Thurles Chamber of Commerce and Limerick Institute of Technology. The development of TCEC was funded by Thurles Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Ireland, Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Tipperary Enterprise Board, Local Enteprise Office Tipperary, Tipperary County Council and Thurles Town Council. TCEC was established to facilitate the development and growth of new and existing enterprises and to provide a location in Thurles which would allow the creativity and vision of the people of the area to contribute to its future economic well-being. The Centre provides a modern, well-equipped and conveniently located range of facilities for the entrepreneurs of the area. Join us and allow us to support you in making your ideas a reality.
Our Innovation & Enterprise mission is to turn ideas into a thriving business or plan, helping to drive economic growth within our regions and across Ireland. Inspired by the ‘quintuple helix’ innovation model which focuses on the interactions among five key elements of society: academia, industry, government, culture, and the environment, we aim to maximise the impact of our research and enterprise development for social and economic benefit tackling the key challenges connected to the global goals for sustainable development. We will do this by facilitating and nurturing the advancement of the best ideas of our staff, learners and our engaged external community from discovery to commercial application by providing key supports to our stakeholders and environments for them to grow and build their ideas in.
